PJS Group, through its Company, PJS Agro Farms Limited that was incorporated in August 2015 is actively pursuing backward integration in rice value chain through setting up commercial paddy farms over an area of 7,500 ha in Niger state, Nigeria. The Group is also setting up an Integrated Paddy Processing capacity of up to 100,000 tons per annum along with parboiling and drying facilities.

This is in line with Nigerian government’s target of achieving self-sufficiency in rice production.

Under this division, PJS is engaged in sourcing and distribution of the following commodities for key markets in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

To that effect, the Company has been adopting the most modern technologies including usage of drones for Land Survey and Mapping. As a result, the Company has been achieving paddy yield of 7 tons/ha against Nigerian national average of 2-3 tons/ha

Once the operations are stabilized, the Company aims to create 4,000 direct jobs and 20,000 indirect jobs in the region.
